For this project we asked students to think of questions that they did not know the answer to. Then they had to research their question and present their findings to the class.

Answer: The most famous monument in the world is the Eiffel tower in Paris. It gets 6.7 million visitors a year.  It was designed and built by engineer Gustave Eiffel for the Universal Exhibition of 1889, held in Paris.

Answer: They do not breathe! Believe it or not babies do not breathe as such until they are born. Inside the womb they do not use their lungs.

Answer: The tallest trees in the world are redwoods in California. Among the redwoods, a tree named Hyperion dwarfs them all. The tree was discovered in 2006, and is 379.7 feet (115.7 m) tall.

Question: Why do people´s faces go red when they are embaressed?

Answer: It is a normal physiological response to an anxious situation. The nerves and the veins are dialated and the heart beats faster.

Answer: Today, women have a life expectancy of 87.5 years compared to 80.3 years for men. In half a centuary scientists think we will exceed 100 years on average. There will be two problems that accompany old age loneliness and inequality. Currently, Jpan is the second oldest country in the world. In Japan the elderly commit cimes such as stealing so they will be put in prison where they will be well fed. They do this because they are very poor.

Answer: The smallest dog living, in terms of height, is a female Chihuahua called Milly, who measured 9.65 cm (3.8 in) tall on 21 February 2013 and is owned by Vanesa Semler of Dorado, Puerto Rico. Milly's full pedigree name Miracle Milly. She was born on 1 December 2011.

Answer: Robert de Niro is the most famous actor in the world. He has won a lot of awards including two oscars and two academy awards.

Question: Where are the greatest labyrinths in the world?

Answer: Dole Plantation aka Pineapple maze in Hawaii is the greatest labyrinth in the world. The shape of the labyrinth is a pineapple and it consists of 14,000 varieties of local vegetation which make up the two-and-a-half miles of zigzagging paths. It was declared the largest permanent maze in the world in 2008, the size and design of the Pineapple Maze make it worthy of victory.

Question: Why do people have different coloured eyes?

Answer: Eye color is the result of different amounts of melanin, a pigment found in the front part of the iris of the eye.  If you have a little of this pigment you will have blue eyes some pigment gives green and lots of pigment gives brown eyes.
